Mark Boat Operator Training

Are you interested in operating the mark boats, but unsure how to do it? The mark boats provide support to the race committee, during various club race events. Please sign up for mark boat training scheduled 8:00am to 11:30pm on Saturday April 27, 2024. This will be a hands on class at the boat docks. We will cover basic boat operations, docking, getting underway, rules of the road, launching, retrieval, rescue operations, radio etiquette, etc.  When operating our mark boats during events, we typically run 2 people on each of our mark boats. This class is the basic initial operator training. Additional training for Race Committee (RC) operations such as positioning on the course, setting marks, moving marks, types of marks, is scheduled for 5/11/2024.
