Harbor
The sprawling 13 acre property is actually a large peninsula surrounded by water on Geist Reservoir, which enables ISC to accommodate a wide variety of sailboat storage and access settings to its members:
- Smaller sailboats are dry-sailed from a large parking area and are launched using two hoists located on the seawall bulkhead next to the one-design boat parking lot
- Large keelboats are accommodated by docks with 100 wet mooring slips as well as a deep ramp for launching and retrieving keelboats
- Keelboats have a dedicated large parking lot for on-site winter storage
- Sandy beaches provide water-side storage and "drag-in/out" access for catamarans, small training prams and kayaks
- Smaller training sailboats are kept on rolling dollies adjacent to the launch ramp for easy drop-in/out access for the youth and junior sailors
- Courtesy docks are situated along the waterfront for staging sailboats after they are launched
- The harbor also accommodates a slip for the Race Committee pontoon boat and docks/lifts for the Boston Whaler power boat fleet supporting on-the-water activities
